Continuing Education - no matter what industry you are in, it’s “A Thing.” And rightfully so. To stay with current technology, client demands and such, needs demands that businesses and industry professionals invest in personal and professional growth.
Conferences such as Texas School of Professional Photography (TPP), Wedding and Portrait Professionals International (WPPI), Shutterfest, PPA, and so many more, offer stand-out creatives just this chance. This week, I am participating in the TPP 2022 conference in Dallas, Texas. Here we are immersed for 4 ½ days with one mentor and do a deep dive into a select topic within the industry. The mentors and trainers at this event are internationally renowned and not at all shy about challenging attendees to step out of their comfort zones and push themselves hard. That’s what we pay for, and that’s what they deliver.

This week I will be studying with William Branson III. What a great opportunity it is for me, and one which will result in better and better quality portraiture for my clients. “For over 47 years, William Branson has been creating portraiture.
His portraiture has garnered some of the highest honors the portrait profession has to offer. He was invited by 40 leading photographic artists to join them as an elite member of the oldest and most prestigious organization in the world…Cameracraftsmen of America. He is a member and holds a Masters and Craftsman Degree from the Professional Photographers of America and is a founding member of the International Society of Portrait Artists. He is a Photographer of the Year recipient from PPA many times over, from Bronze level to Diamond. He also received his Fellowship degree from the ASP in 2012.”
In addition to the education, I get to meet reps from some of the art world's best product and service providers. I am dedicated to providing the best visual and archival quality portrait products to my clients, and this is where I can see what’s new, what’s quality and what I want to bring back with me for my business.
